Unloaded Firearm Found at Lufkin Middle School

LUFKIN, TX - Lufkin ISD confirmed an unloaded firearm was brought to Lufkin Middle School on September 12, prompting immediate investigation by school officials and law enforcement. This is the second firearm found on a Lufkin ISD campus this school year, after an unloaded firearm was found in a trash can at the Lufkin High School on September 8, 2025.
